General information on batteries/rechargeable batteries
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around; they could be swallowed by children or pets. If
swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking, or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries, in contact with the skin can cause acid burns,
therefore, use suitable protective gloves.
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a
fi
re. There is a risk of
explosion!
• Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries, risk of explosion! Only charge rechargeable batteries
that are intended for this purpose; use a suitable battery charger.
• Never mix standard batteries with rechargeable batteries, use either standard batteries or rechargeable
batteries.
• Do not mix batteries/rechargeable batteries with different charge levels (e. g. full and half-full batteries/
rechargeable batteries).
• Always replace the complete set of batteries/rechargeable batteries.
• Check that the polarity is correct, when inserting the batteries/rechargeable batteries (pay attention to
plus/+ and minus/-).
• If you wish to use rechargeable batteries please note that, due to the lower output voltage (batteries =
1.5 V, rechargeable batteries =1.2 V), the operating time will decrease. Therefore, we recommend that you
use high-quality alkaline batteries to ensure long-lasting and reliable operation.
Installation
Move the camera head by hand very carefully, otherwise the drive could be damaged.
• First, choose a suitable location to mount the dummy camera.
• Screw the dummy camera
fi
rmly to the wall. Depending on the wall, use suitable screws and wall plugs.
Please make sure that existing cables or wiring not damaged when drilling/screwing into place.
• If the enclosed dummy WLAN antenna is to be attached, insert it into the corresponding opening on the
rear of the dummy camera.
• Adjust the tilt of the dummy camera as desired, so it points roughly at the area to be monitored.
To adjust, loosen the round locking screw at the rear (turn anticlockwise). The dummy camera can then be
aligned. Tighten the locking screw again, but do not apply force, do not use tools!
Inserting/replacing the batteries
• Open the battery compartment on the top and insert three AA batteries (mignon), paying attention to the
correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-).
• Close the battery compartment again.
• The batteries need to be replaced, if the camera motor stops moving.
Operation
• Switch the dummy camera on using the ON/OFF switch on the back (“ON”, “OFF”).
• The brightness sensor on the front of the dummy camera detects changes in brightness in the monitored
area, and activates the dummy camera’s drive motor to create the impression the area is under surveil-
lance. A red LED
fl
ashes at the same time.
• After about 20 seconds, the motor and the LED are switched off.
• If the motor drive, or the
fl
ashing LED is not required, switch the dummy camera off and remove the
batteries from the battery compartment.

product contains no parts that require servicing. Therefore, do not open/dismantle it (except to replace the
batteries).
Use a clean, dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not apply too much pressure on the case, this could cause
scratch marks.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions, since these
could damage the housing or even impair operation.
