• If there still is no updated time/date shown in the display after 10-20 minutes, change the

position of the table clock and start a new manual reception attempt as described above.
Should this also not result in successful DCF signal reception, we recommend you place the
table clock in front of a window for 24 hours and then check whether a DCF signal has been
received.

• The time zones vary from country to country and thus, it is necessary to make the correct

selection. If the national time, for example, is 1 hour ahead of German time, the zone should
be set to 01. Thus, the clock will automatically set the time to 1 hour ahead of the time it detects
from the DCF signal.

„Activating/Deactivating” the Alarm Function and „Snooze
Function” (SNOOZE)

• Press the „MODE/SET” button (D) to choose between the displays „Time” and „Alarm” (= the

lettering „AL” is shown in the display).

• Press and hold the „MODE/SET” button (D) in the display „Alarm” for 3 seconds, to enter the

alarm setting mode.

• Set the desired alarm time using the buttons „

” (C) and „

” (I). Then press the

„MODE/SET” (D) button, to enter the next setting or to confirm the settings made and close the
alarm setting mode.

• Move the slide switch „ON/OFF” (H) to the position „ON”, to activate the alarm function. If the

alarm function is activated, the „alarm symbol„ (F) and the letters (Zz) are shown in the display.

• When an alarm signal is triggered, it can be suppressed for approx. 5 minutes by pressing the

„SNOOZE/LIGHT” button (J).

• The letters „Zz” blink in the display, while the SNOOZE function is active. Pressing any other

button will cancel the active alarm.

• If an alarm is triggered, the „alarm symbol” (F) blinks.
• The alarm function can be deactivated at any time. To do this, move the slide switch „ON/OFF”

to the position „OFF”. After this, the „alarm symbol” (F) as well as the letters (Zz) disappear.

Thermometer

Press the „°C/°F” button (C) to select either Celsius or Fahrenheit.

Setting the 12 or 24h display

Press the „12/24” button (I), to select between the 12h and the 24h display. In the 12h display,
the letters „AM” before the „Time display” (A) indicate the first half of the day. The letters „PM” in
the display before the „Time Display” (A1) indicate the second half of the day.
If the 24h display is activated, „24h” is displayed before „Time” (A).

Background illumination

The background light is activated by pressing the button „SNOOZE/LIGHT” for approx. 5
seconds.

Performing a RESET

To reset all previously configured settings, press (e.g. with a paper clip) the „RESET” button (L).

Do not use a pencil or suchlike. Since lead is a conductive material, the conduction paths inside
the housing might be short-circuited, which could lead to damage to the product.

Changing the Batteries

If the display elements have a poor contrast or the reception of the DCF signal decreases due
to low battery power, it is necessary to replace the batteries. To do this, proceed as follows:

• Open the battery compartment (K) by removing the cover.
• Remove the drained batteries.
• Insert two 2 x 1.5V Mignon batteries (type: AA) in the battery compartment, paying attention to

the correct polarity.

• Replace the cover on the battery compartment.
• All display elements will be shown briefly. The table clock is then ready for use and the desired

settings can be made.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Apart from replacing the batteries, this table clock has no components that require maintenance.
Never dismantle the product.

To clean the outside of the table clock, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient. For heavier soiling
of the exterior, you can moisten the cloth slightly with lukewarm water. Clean the table clock very
carefully, otherwise you may scratch it. Do not press too strongly on the transparent front, as this
could break.

Disposal

a) General

Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.

b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries

As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/rechar-
geable batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited!

Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these symbols to
indicate that disposal in domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy
metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead.

Used batteries, rechargeable batteries as well as coin cells can be returned to
collection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever batteries/rechargeable
