8. Using the device
☞
This product can be used as a stand-alone device without a wall
power supply (not included in delivery). However, the device
can be powered by the wall power supply (6 V(DV, min. 120 mA)
additionally or exclusively.
• Open the battery compartment (14) by pulling off the battery compartment lid.
• Insert 3 x 1.5V AA batteries into the battery compartment (14) with the correct
polarity.
• Close the battery compartment (14) by sliding the lid back on.
• If necessary, connect the wall power supply (available as an accessory; 6 V/DC,
min. 120 mA) to the power supply connection (15).
• Plug the power supply into a standard mains socket (230 V/AC 50 Hz).
When the batteries are inserted, the LC display lights up and
the clock searches for the radio signal. This process takes
about 3 to 5 minutes.
For optimal reception of the radio signal, we recommend pla-
cing the MP3 alarm clock close to a window.
When the radio signal is received, time and date are automat-
ically set and the radio
symbol is displayed.
If no radio signal is received, the
symbol is not displayed.
If this is the case, the user can set the time manually.
See chapter: „10. Setting the time manually”
