12. Battery replacement
a) Weather station
You need to change the battery if the battery replacement icon (11, " ") appears on the top right of the weather
station.

The batteries serve for data backup in case of a power failure as well as for reception of the DCF signal
when the weather station is switched off.
Reception of the DCF signal is not possible without inserted batteries!
Open the battery compartment as shown in chapter 9. b) and exchange the batteries observing the correct polarity
(plus/+ and minus/-).
b) Outdoor sensor for temperature/humidity
The icon " " appears on the top right of the display once the batteries are spent.
Exchange the batteries of the outdoor sensor for new ones. Proceed as described in chapter 9.a) to exchange and
insert the batteries.

If you use more than one outdoor sensor, make sure that each outdoor sensor is set to its own channel.
If the weather station can no longer locate the outdoor sensor (lines appear instead of the measuring
data), perform a sensor search (see chapter 10. g), setting function "INSTALL REMOTE SENSOR".
c) IR remote control
Change the button cell of the IR remote control if the range decreases or if the weather station no longer reacts to
pushing the buttons on the IR remote control.
By pressing the small clip (see illustration on the bottom of the IR remote control) you can unlock the battery holder
and pull it out of the battery compartment (32) together with the button cell.
Check the right polarity when inserting the battery. The battery holder has a corresponding "+" marking.
Replace the battery holder with the new battery and in the right orientation in the opening of the IR remote control.
