5. Safety Information
The guarantee/warranty will expire if damage is incurred resulting from non-compliance with the
operating instructions! We do not assume any liability for consequential damage!
We do not assume any liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by improper use
or the failure to observe the safety instructions! In such cases the guarantee/warranty will expire!
Dear Customer: The following safety information is intended not only for the protection of the device but
also for the protection of your health. Please read through the following attentively:
General Information
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is prohibited for safety and approval
reasons (CE). Furthermore, this will render the guarantee/warranty void!
• This product is not a toy and not suitable for children. Children cannot judge the dangers involved when
handling electrical devices. Keep the product outside of the reach of children or operate the product
outside of the reach of children.
• The product must only be used by persons who have read and understood the operating instructions
in full.
The product must not be used by persons (including children) with limited physical, mental and sensory
abilities or persons under the influence of medication or alcohol.
• The dirt water pump corresponds to the protection type IPX8, the mains plug used corresponds to IP44.
• The product is designed according to protection class I. The voltage source must be a proper mains
socket (230 V/AC, 50 Hz) of the public mains with a protective ground contact.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a dangerous toy for children.
• Handle the product with care; impacts, shock or fall even from low heights will damage it.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, please contact us or
another expert.
Site of setup, connection
• Operate the product in a way that it is out of reach of children.
• Using the product close to garden ponds, wells, swimming pools, fountains, etc. is only permissible if the
product is operated by a leakage current protection switch (FI-protection switch, leakage current
max. 30 mA).
In Austria, the product must only be installed and operated close to swimming pools and garden ponds
if a suitable ÖVE-tested safety separating transformer is switched in front of it in addition to the leakage
current protection switch (FI-protection switch, leakage current max. 30 mA).
• Connect the mains plug of the dirt water pump to a protected contact mains socket only. This must be
an IP44 mains socket with protective ground for operation in the outdoor area or in wet rooms.
• The mains socket to which the dirt water pump is connected must be easily accessible.
