Attention!
Before putting into operation, note the authorised use, observe
the safety instructions and note the technical data.
5. Battery installation - Battery replacement
To insert the 9V battery, as shown in the following illustration
press both sprung ends of the battery compartment cover light-
ly together and pull the cover off upwards. Remove the used bat-
tery and insert an unused battery of the same type observing the
correct polarity. The polarity of the battery is indicated inside the
battery compartment. Use only a 9V battery. After correctly
installing the battery, close the battery compartment cover once
more.
Attention!
Under no circumstances operate the measuring instrument
when opened. Leave no used batteries in the measuring instru-
ment, because even leak-proof batteries can corrode and there-
by release chemicals which can endanger health and destroy the
battery compartment. Used batteries do not belong with gene-
ral refuse. They are to be considered as requiring special hand-
ling and must hence be discarded without endangering the envi-
ronment.

The display can be matched to the sound source using the
attenuation switch.

The measuring instrument is supplied by a commercially-availa-
ble 9V battery. The unit is equipped with a 3/8" threaded socket
on its underside, using which the Sound Level Meter can be
mounted onto a microphone stand or similar. In addition, it is
possible to connect a recorder or analyser to a Cinch socket loca-
ted on the side for further assessment of measurements.
A carrying or protection pouch and the operating instructions
are supplied with the Sound Level Meter.
