ASSEMBLY OF ThE WASTEBASKET
This shredder must be used with the supplied wastebasket for safety reasons. The wastebasket and
shredder have special safety features built-in designed to protect the user.
1. Assemble the wastebasket by pulling the top portion of the wastebasket up while pushing the bottom
portion of the wastebasket down until the two portions lock into place with the four basket locks.
ShREDDING OPERATION
Prepare paper to be shredded. Remove paper clips and make sure to feed no more than the recommended
sheet capacity at one time.
It is advisable in order to calibrate the shredder’s cutting mechanism
to shred 3 individual sheets of paper for the first few shredding cycles. This will allow the internal
lubrication to be equally redistributed to all the moving parts in the cutter assembly.
1. Slide the main switch to the
AUTO
position to activate the standby mode.
2. The shredder automatically
STARTS
when paper is placed in the feed opening and
STOPS
when
finished shredding.
3. Return the main switch to the
OFF
position when finished shredding.
IMportant note:
If paper is wi der than the paper entrance and you fold it to fit, the paper thickness
increases and the recommended capacity may be exceeded.
USING REvERSE
Use the “Reverse” setting to safely remove paper jams from the paper entrance of the shredder:
1. Slide the switch to the
REv
position to clear the jam.
2. Return the shredder into
AUTO
or
OFF
position.
3. Repeat if necessary until the paper jam has been cleared.

SWITCH slot on the bottom of

2. Locate the INTERLOCK
LATCH on the inside of the
The shredder top MUST be
positioned so that the INTERLOCK
LATCH fits into the INTERLOCK
SWITCH slot - otherwise the
shredder will not operate. The
basket should always be level. If
one side of the shredder top is
higher than the other, the
INTERLOCK LATCH will not be
completely inserted into the
INTERLOCK SWITCH. Wiggle the
shredder top until it is snugly and
evenly placed on the basket.

DE ENCLAVAR. Sacuda la tapa del
triturador hasta que quede pareja y
ordenadamente colocada sobre la
canasta.

Pour des raisons de sécurité, cette déchiqueteuse ne peut être SEULEMENT utilisée qu'avec la poubelle
fournie à cet effet. La poubelle et la déchiqueteuse sont dotées de dispositifs de sécurité incorporés afin

1. Chercher la fente du
DISPOSITIF DE SÉCURITÉ située
au fond de la déchiqueteuse.
2. Chercher le LOQUET DE
VERROUILLAGE situé à
l'intérieur de la poubelle de la
déchiqueteuse.
Le couvercle de la déchiqueteuse DOIT
être positionné de telle façon que LE
LOQUET DE VERROUILLAGE s'emboîte
dans la fente du DISPOSITIF DE
SÉCURITÉ - sinon la déchiqueteuse ne
fonctionnera pas. La poubelle doit
toujours être au même niveau que la
déchiqueteuse. Si un côté du couvercle
de la déchiqueteuse est plus élevé que
l'autre, LE LOQUET DE VERROUILLAGE
ne pourra pas s'emboîter complètement
dans le DISPOSITIF DE SÉCURITÉ.
Ajuster le couvercle de la déchiqueteuse
jusqu'à ce qu'il soit emboîté et serré
uniformément sur la poubelle.

will not operate. Make sure the logo on the basket is facing the front.
