Creating users
When the harddisk configuration in chapter 5.1 is complete, the whole storage capacity of the CH3MNAS is
shared on the network without the need of any username and password.
To protect (a part of) the storage capacity of the CH3MNAS, you can create users which can access (a part
of) the storage capacity of the CH3MNAS with a username and password.

Login the web-based configuration of the CH3MNAS as described in
chapter 5.1
.

Select the option “
Advanced Setup
” and select “
Users
”.

Enter a name for a new user in the field “
User Name
”.
D.
Enter a password for the new user in the field “
Password
”.
E.
Re-enter the password from step D in the field “
Confirm Password
”.
F.
Click “
Apply
” to add the user to the Users List of the CH3MNAS.

It is also possible to create groups and assign users to groups. For explanation how to create and
