from the blades, as injury may result. Before
each use, make certain the blades are aligned
properly and oiled.
11. Do not use the appliance outdoors or
where aerosol (spray) products are being used
or oxygen is being administered.

operatIng InStructIonS:
1. Remove the battery compartment cover by
pushing in and down toward the bottom of the
trimmer.
2. Align the two AA batteries with the positive
and negative positions indicated inside the
battery compartment. Being careful not to
bend the clips, insert the negative end of each
battery first so it will slip easily into position.
3. Return the battery cover to its original posi-
tion by pushing it in and up until you hear a
small click as it locks into place.
4. To use your trimmer, push ON/OFF switch
upwards to ON position.
5. After you finish using your trimmer, push
down on the ON/OFF switch to turn the
trimmer off.
6. For your convenience, the trimmer comes
with a storage base to hold the trimmer and
accessories.
7. Ensure the batteries are installed cor-
rectly with regard to polarity (+ and -).
8. Remove the battery if the battery is no
longer functional or if the trimmer is left
unused for an extended period of time.
9. Clean the battery contacts and also those
of the device prior to battery installation.
10. Remove used batteries promptly.
11. Use only alkaline batteries.
* Do not use in the shower or submerse unit
in water.

takIng care of your trImmer
oIlIng the bladeS
About once a month you should oil the trimmer
blades with the oil provided in your kit. It is best
to do this over a piece of newspaper. Turn the
trimmer on and hold it so that the blades are
pointed downward. Spread one drop of oil across
the blades, then turn the trimmer off and wipe
away the excess oil with a soft cloth.
Be careful not to use too much oil and don’t oil
your trimmer more than necessary, as this could
damage the motor. (Never attempt to oil the
motor bearing, as it is permanently lubricated.)
After oiling the blades, return the trimmer and
oil packet to the trimmer storage base. KEEP OIL
OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

To operate, simply push slide toward blade;
to stop, push slide away from blade.
*Requires 2 AA batteries (included). We recommend using
alkaline batteries in your trimmer because they last longer.
blade care
Because the trimmer blades are precision-
made for a very special use, they should
always be handled with care. Each time you
finish using the trimmer, take the cleaning
brush provided and brush away any loose hair
that has collected in the blades. Then store
the trimmer in its storage base to protect the
blades until the next use.
Be especially careful when changing or
adjusting blades. When you have your trim-
mer serviced, be sure that both blades are
sharpened or replaced at the same time.
To promote the long life of the appliance, use
your trimmer only for the purpose intended
by the manufacturer – to trim your beard and
mustache.
removIng blade Set
This trimmer comes with a detachable
blade set; which makes maintenance and
replacement easy.
To remove the blade set:
• Make sure the trimmer is in the OFF
position
• With the power switch facing you, press
the blade on the teeth and in direction away
from you until they pop out of the housing
To replace the blade set:
• Looking at the trimmer from above you will
see a notch at the back of the trimmer.
• There is a tab on the blade set on the bot-
tom, opposite the blades
Position that tab so that it fits into the notch
inside the trimmer head
Push the blade set down onto the trimmer
head until it snaps into place.
Make sure the taper control is set to the
longest #1position.

This trimmer has a taper control feature,
which allows you to raise or lower blade.
Simply push the control up until you hear a
click. For the shortest cut, push the lever to
the third position. This will give you the 2 day
unshaven look, where as the other 2 settings
provide more precise trimming. In addition
to these settings, the 5-position attachment
combs provide multiple cutting lengths for
maximum versatility. The taper control has
no function when using the nose and ear
attachment.
growIng a beard and muStache
There are three key factors that will deter-
mine which beard or mustache style is best
for you:
1. The shape and dimensions of your face.
2. The natural growth of your beard/mustache.
3. The thickness of your beard/mustache. If you
are unsure about the type of beard or mustache
that would most suit your face, speak with a
professional hair stylist and ask for an opinion
on what style would be best. Once your beard
or mustache has been styled, it is essential that
you maintain its appearance. To do this, use your
trimmer to trim your beard/mustache weekly.
For the best trimming results, your beard should
be slightly damp (NOT WET) when using your
trimmer. This will prevent the trimmer from
removing more hair than desired.

1. It is always best to

damp beard.
2. After you have combed
through your beard in the
direction it grows naturally, you will want to
outline the desired shape, beginning under
your jawline.
3. Begin defining your beard’s shape under
your chin and work upward on each side
of your face toward your ears. Then define
the upper outline of your beard across your
cheeks, past your sideburns, and toward
your hairline.

1. Your trimmer adjusts to five positions so you
can have a beard length from 1/8” (shortest)
to 5/8” (longest).
2. To use the 5-position comb, slide the unit
over the trimmer blades and snap it down
into position. At first, until you become familiar
with the adjustments, use the longest trim
setting (5/8”).
(You can always go back and make your beard
a little shorter.)
3. Begin trimming your beard using smooth,
even strokes. Start with your sideburns

La tondeuse est munie d'un jeu de lames
am ovi ble s pou r fac ilit er l'e ntre tie n et le
remplacement.
Enlever le jeu de lames :
• Ass ure z-v ous que la ton deu se est
éteinte.
• L'interrupteur face à vous, poussez la
lame contre les dents et dans la direction
opposée de votre corps, jusqu'à ce que
l'ensemble sorte du boîtier .
Remettre le jeu de lames :
• Regardant la tondeuse du haut, vous ver-
rez une encoche au dos de la tondeuse.
• Le jeu de lames est muni d'une patte
dans le fond, à l'opposé des lames. Placez
la pa tte pour qu'elle entre dans l'encoche
sur la tête de la tondeuse. Enc lenchez le
jeu de lames sur la tête de la tondeuse.
Assurez-vous que la commande d'angle
soit au plus long (position 1).

La tondeuse est munie d'une commande
d'angle qui permet de soulever ou d'abaisser
les lames. P oussez simplement la com -
mande vers le haut, jusqu'au déclic. Poussez
le levier à la troisième position pour la coupe
la plus courte. Elle donnera une allure de
barbe de deux jours. Les deux autres posi-
tions donnent une coupe plus précise. Outre
ces régla ges, les peignes accessoires à 5
positions assurent une polyvalence maxi-
male. La commande d'angle n'a aucun effet
sur l'accessoire pour le nez et les oreilles.
