Charging instructions:
ź
For batteries that has cell caps, remove the caps and check the filling. If the electrolyte level is below the
recommended level, add distilled water. Do not use tap water. When the charging process is complete,
put the caps back on the cells again.
ź
For batteries without cell caps, the manufacturer's charging instructions must be carefully observed.
ź
Make sure the vehicle ignition is off (if the battery is in the vehicle).
ź
Connect the charger, and always follow these steps:
1. Connect the positive terminal of the charger (red) to the positive pole (+) of the battery.
2. Connect the negative charger terminal (black) to the negative (-) terminal of the battery.
3. Plug the 230 V plug into power supply.
ź
When you plug the power cord into 230 V socket, the display lights up to indicate that the charger is
charging.
ź
The device automatically differentiates between 12V and 24V batteries (12V batteries connected in
series), automatically switches to the desired charging mode. Depending on the mode selected, the 12
V or 24 V indicator lights up on the control panel.
ź
Use the
MODE
button to set the charging level from 6, 10 to 15 Amp, depending on the desired charging
time and battery capacity. The actual mode is displaied by the LEDs on the panel.
ź
The charging process starts, after short battery check.
ź
The current battery voltage is displayed on the panel.
ź
The red
CHARGE
light indicates the charging process.
ź
When the battery is fully charged, the
FULL
light comes on and the charger automatically switches to
maintenance mode in which the microprocessor delivers targeted charging without overcharging or
damaging the battery.
ź
Always disconnect the charger from the 230V power supply and then from the battery after charging is
completed.
ź
If you open the cell closures, you must close them again.
Warning:
Heavily discharged and damaged car batteries can not be charged. If the 12V car battery voltage drops
below 8V, the microprocessor in the charger will label the battery as bad and will not charge it!
If the 24V car battery voltage falls below an acceptable level, the charger can evaluate this battery as 12V
and will not charge it properly!
