ICRI Unit Identifier
The ICRI has a ―Unit/Voice ID‖ announcement that sounds every 10 minutes. Each ICRI delivered
has a unique ID (for example, ―NJICS Northeast Region Box 201‖). This function will not interrupt
any current audio activity, but will wait for activity to cease before sounding. The Unit/Voice ID is
also transmitted each time the ICRI is turned on.
If needed, this function can be temporarily muted. Please contact C-AT for directions on doing so.
ICRI Remote DTMF Control
The ICRI is equipped with ―remote control‖ of several functions; the control of these functions is
made through the radio connected to ICRI PORT #1 and a portable radio with a 12 button DTMF
pad. A selected radio (VHF, UHF or 800mHZ) plugged into the ICRI PORT labeled ―1‖ is the
―control‖ radio and a valid coded DTMF entry will ―control‖ the programmed functions of the ICRI.
This function will work only in PORT 1.
If the ―remote control‖ functions may be required during the operation of the ICRI, then verify that
the radio connected to ICRI PORT #1 is active and that the Incident Commander or other designated
responder has a two-way radio the can ―talk to‖ the radio in PORT #1 and that the individual‘s radio
is equipped with a functioning DTMF pad.
For a copy of DTMF control codes, contact C-AT.
