Speech channels
Individual configuration per channel
It is possible to carry out a separate individual configuration for each channel of the Gx-IAX card. This
means, a separate speech connection to a VoIP server with individual features is available for each
channel.
Example G8-IAX-4
The several channels of the G8-IAX-4 card are configured as follows:
1st channel:
with 6 pre-configured call numbers
2nd channel:
with password
3rd channel:
with 8 pre-configured call numbers and password
4th channel: used as “recorder” for
“Audio mixing for speech recording”
Dynamic channel allocation
The dynamic channel allocation applies to incoming calls to the Intercom system.

NOTES: Dynamic channel allocation
A call from a VoIP phone to the Intercom system is always built up via the 1st channel of the respec-
tive Gx-IAX card.
If the 1st channel is busy (e.g. because of an existing conversation via this channel), the call will au-
tomatically built up via the next idle channel. This also means, the configurations defined for this
channel become effective for this call (e.g.
).
