7.4.1
Standard Power management
Standart Power management setpoints and values are included in BTB application for compatibility
purposes and InteliMains-BTB does not play active role in power management.
Nonetheless, InteliMains-BTB plays crucial role in Control Group functions
– it performs
synchronization of the Control Groups together (based on Process Limitation). In connection to this,
GroupLink function may be performed by InteliMains-BTB. This function broadcasts information about
the connection of two groups together via CAN to all other controllers. Two connected groups are
considered as one new group by all other controllers. The diagram below shows how the principle of
the function works. Once Group 3 is connected to the Group 2, it is also considered connected to the
Group 1 because the connection of Group 1 and Group 2 is also broadcasted on the CAN.

Load shedding
Load shedding is a function that automatically disconnects and reconnects various load depending on
several user defined parameters.
Important setpoints
:
all setpoints in group
Load shedding
The load shedding function is active in all controller modes except OFF. Load shedding works based
on Load import value.
Load shedding has three steps and each step is linked with its own Load shed binary output
(L
D
S
HED
STAGE
X
). There is only one load shed level and delay for all three steps as well as recon
level and delay (setpoints in
Load shedding
group
Ld shed level, Ld shed delay, Ld recon level, Ld
recon delay
). Load shed can only move from one step to the next, e.g.
“No LoadShed” to “LdShed
stage 1
” to “LdShed stage 2” to “LdShed stage 3” and vice versa.
If manual reconnection of the load is desired, the
Load shedding:
AutoLd recon
setpoint needs to be
disabled (DISABLED) and the M
ANUAL
L
D
R
ECON
binary input needs to be configured.
Rising edge on this input resets the controller to a lower stage, but only if the load is under the
Ld
recon level
for
Ld recon delay
at that moment.
Depending on
Load shedding:
Ld shed active
setting load shedding is never active (DISABLE) or
active all the time (ENABLE).
N
OTE
:
If no Load Shedding outputs are configured, there is no record to history and no screen timer
indication of the activity of this function.
