Proper Earthing
The quality of printouts will depend on the earth connection provided to the machine. During printing,
the media generates lot of static charge that can affect the placement of dots and also excessive charge
may damage the print heads which would be a very expensive damage.
It is recommended that a separate earth connection should be provided to the machine and the earth
resistance should be in the range of 4-5 ohms. The distance of the PC from the machine should not be
more than 2 -3 feet.
Note:
It should be ensured that the earth point for the Printer and the PC is same this is important for the
safety of the interfaces.
