5. The jar holders grip the sides of the jar whilst the lid opener rotates
to undo the lid.
6. When the lid has been opened the arms of the lid opener will
return to their original positions and the opener will stop.
7. Jars which have been in the fridge before being introduced
to room temperature might need to be dried to remove any
condensation before you use the opener on them.
Note:
To prevent small or tall, narrow jars from toppling over whilst
they are being opened it is advisable to hold the jar with one hand and
hold the jar opener loosely with your other hand.
Care and maintenance
• Clean the opener by wiping it with a damp cloth. Use only mild
cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Never immerse the opener in water or other liquid.
• Do not wash the opener in a dishwasher.
• If the opener slows down during operation it might mean that
the battery power is low. Change the batteries.
• Remove the batteries from the opener if it is not to be used for
a long time.
Troubleshooting guide
The opener cannot
maintain a grip on the lid
or sides of the jar.
Make sure that the jar, lid and the rubber
grips on the jar opener are all free of
water or grease. Wipe clean if necessary.
The opener lifts off
the jar during use.
Press the start button once to return
the opener to its original state and
start again.
Disposal
The product should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

1. Grip the battery cover and pull it straight forwards away from
the opener.
2. Insert 2 × AA/LR6 batteries. Follow the markings in the battery
compartment to ensure correct polarity. Never mix old and new
batteries. Never mix rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries.
3. Refit the battery cover, making sure that it clicks properly back
into place.
The opener is only designed for opening glass jars with screw top lids.

use the opener on plastic jars.

Do not
use the opener on jars with lid diameters less than 30 mm
(1.2
″
) or more than 88 mm (3.5
″
).

Do not
use the opener on jars with diameters less than 25 mm
(1
″
) or more than 88 mm (3.5
″
).

Do not
use the opener on jars with irregularly shaped necks which
prevent the opener gripping the jar properly.

Do not
use the opener if the lid is damaged or if the jar is cracked
or damaged in any way.
1. Remove any plastic or paper tamper seals fastening the lid to
the jar before using the opener.
2. Fold the jar holders
down so that the rubber
grips can hold the sides
of the jar firmly.
3. Place the jar on a firm, flat surface and place the opener onto the lid.
4. Hold in the start button, the jar holders will move inwards and grip
the sides of the jar. Keep holding the start button in and release it
when the lid opener starts to move inwards toward the lid.
Note:
Keep hands, hair, jewellery and clothing away from moving
parts during use. Press the start button once if you need to
interrupt the opening operation.
