Operating instructions
Before initial use
The first few times the iron is used, a harmless odour and smoke may be given off.
This is completely normal and is only temporary. Test the iron for the first time on
a spare piece of cloth to check that both the soleplate and the water tank are clean.
Refilling
1. Unplug the iron and let the soleplate cool down. Stand the iron upright.
2. Turn the steam control knob (3) to the position.
3. Open the water tank refill port (2).
4. Use the measuring cup and fill the tank (10) up to the max mark.
5. Close the lid.
Note:
Only use normal tap water. The water tank contains a filter which softens
the water and hinders the build up of scale. Using distilled water can cause the filter to
lose its properties. It is a permanent filter which does not need to be replaced.
Temperature setting button
1. Always check the fabric care label on your clothing.
2. Always use the lowest recommended temperature setting if the fabric consists of
mixed materials.
3. Plug in the iron and stand it upright.
