Hit
A determination that a print stored in the

database may match the print input for a search.
CAFIS
matches prints by comparing the attribute maps of each
of the prints stored in the database with the attribute
map of the search print, and assigns them a score that
ranks the degree of similarity between the search print
and the file prints.
LACRIS
Los Angeles County Regional Identification System
LAFIS LACRIS Automated Fingerprint Identification System
Match
A print in the

database that is known to match a
