6. Lay the wheel against the washer
and make sure that the hole in
the wheel fits over the raised edge
of the washer.
7. The wheel must fit over the washer
properly in order for it to be
correctly centred. Never attach
a wheel that does not fit over
the washer.
8. The text on the wheel should be
facing upwards so it is visible when
working.
9. Screw the clamp nut back on and
tighten it with your fingers until
the wheel is secure.
10. Press in the spindle lock button and
tighten the clamp nut by turning
it clockwise using the spanner (9)
(fig. 4). Tighten properly, but do not
overtighten. Release the spindle
lock button and turn the machine
back over again.
Getting started
1. Adopt a steady stance and hold
the machine firmly in both hands.
2. Push the trigger switch (7) forwards
and then upwards (fig. 5).
3. Turn off the machine by releasing
the trigger switch.
4. Stand where you have a clear view
of the workpiece.
5. Let the grinder come up to speed
before starting to work.
6. Do not use the side of cutting discs
for grinding since they cannot
handle pressure from the side.
7. Use a diamond wheel for cutting stone or similar materials.
8. Do not angle the machine while cutting; make straight cuts with a cutting wheel.
9. Keep ventilation openings clear so that the motor does not overheat.
10. The best method for grinding is to hold the machine in an angle of 10–15º.
