Set the Function switch to the “Radio” position.

Set the Band switch to choose a radio band:

Choose “AM” to listen to AM radio broad-
casts.
Choose “FM” to listen to FM radio broad-
casts in mono. This setting is best if FM
station reception is weak.
Choose “FM ST” to listen to FM radio broad-
casts in stereo. This setting will provide the
best sound if FM station reception is strong.
Turn the Tuning dial to tune to a radio station.

The CXCD240 has a telescopic FM rod an-
tenna. Extend and adjust the orientation of
the antenna for optimal FM reception.
The CXCD240 has an internal AM antenna.
Reposition the unit for optimal AM recep-
tion.
