5.11.2 Auto-answering
(S0=n)
The modem
default setting is not to answer a call unless you manually
enter the ATA command. However, if you have a separate telephone
line for the modem and your telephone, you can set the modem to
automatically enter incoming calls.
You can specify the number of rings before the modem answers the
call. To specify, type:
ATS0=n
where:
n
: is the number of rings after which, the modem answers the
call. The settings are from
1~255
. Set
S0=0
to disable auto-answer
(default setting).

Hanging Up or Going Off Hook (H)
Enter:
ATH
to let the modem hang up.
ATH1
to let the modem go off-hook
