BRAKES
Front Brake Hose Removal
NOTE:
If any portion of the brake hose is found to be damaged, the entire hose assembly must be replaced.
1.
Lift and support the front of vehicle and remove the wheel.
See Lifting The Vehicle, Section 3, Page 3-4.
2.
Use a flare-nut wrench to disconnect the front brake hose at the master cylinder
.

NOTE:
Place a plastic bag around the master cylinder to catch brake fluid before the brake hose is removed. Once the
hose is removed, wrap the bag around the master cylinder to prevent debris from entering the brake hose port.
3.
Remove the banjo bolt and two copper washers from each caliper
. Discard the copper
washers.

NOTE:
Place a pan under each caliper to collect brake fluid.
Plug each caliper to prevent debris from entering. Do not allow brake fluid to contact the brake pads and disc.

Remove the bolts securing the front tee and clamps to the chassis
5.
Remove the wire ties securing the front brake hose to the steering knuckles
6.
Pull the brake hose assembly toward the driver side of the vehicle, away from the master cylinder.

Front Brake Hose Installation
1.
Feed the new brake hose assembly into the front of the vehicle at each caliper and the master cylinder.
