1.
Extend fully each belt.
2.
Inspect the seat belt before each use. Visually look for cuts, fraying, and loose parts. Damaged
parts must be replaced immediately.
CORRECT SEAT BELT POSITION
WARNING
MAKE SURE THAT THE SHOULDER BELT IS POSITIONED ACROSS
THE CENTER OF THE SHOULDER. THE BELT SHOULD BE KEPT
AWAY FROM THE NECK, BUT NOT FALLING OFF THE SHOULDER.
FAILURE TO DO SO CAN REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF PROTECTION
AND INCREASE THE CHANCE OF INJURY.
Proper Seat Belt Position
• Sit up straight and well back in the seat.
• Always keep your feet on the floor in front of you.
• Always use the correct buckle for your seating position.
• Position the lap belt as low as possible on the hips and not the waist. Make sure that the belt is
not twisted.
• Position the shoulder belt across the center of the shoulder. The belt should be kept away from
the neck, but not falling off the shoulder. Make sure that the belt is not twisted.
• Wear the shoulder belt over the shoulder and across the chest. These parts of the body are best
able to take belt restraining forces. The shoulder belt locks if there is a sudden stop or crash.
• Younger children and infants that require a safety seat or that can benefit from the protection of
a safety seat must not be an occupant of this vehicle. This vehicle is not designed to meet child
safety seat compatibility requirements.
• Comply with all state and local laws pertaining to child safety.
• Pregnant Women - Consult your doctor for specific recommendations. The seat belt must be
worn securely and as low as possible over the hips and not on the waist
• Injured Persons - Consult your doctor for specific recommendations.
• Seat Belt Extenders - Club Car does not recommend the use of seat belt extenders.
LATCH A SEAT BELT
WARNING
AN IMPROPERLY POSITIONED SEAT BELT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS
INJURY OR DEATH IN AN ACCIDENT. MAKE SURE ALL SEAT BELTS
ARE PROPERLY POSITIONED BEFORE DRIVING.
To fasten a seat belt:
1.
Pull the seat belt out of the retractor.
Note:
The retractor will lock the belt during a sudden stop. It also may lock if the occupant
leans forward too quickly. A slow, easy motion will allow the belt to extend, and the
occupant can move freely. If the seat belt cannot be pulled out of the retractor, firmly
pull the belt and release it. It should then pull smoothly out of the retractor.
2.
Insert the tongue into the buckle. A click will be heard when the tongue locks into the buckle.
