Removing and Installing a Processor
Processor Removal Procedure
1. Turn off the computer, turn it over, and remove the battery ( page 2 - 5 ), component bay cover ( page 2 - 6 ) and
RAM ( page 2 - 9 ).
2. The CPU heat sink will be visible at point ( Figure 7a ).
3. Remove screws - from the heat sink unit in the order indicated on the label (i.e screw first through to
screw last Figure 7 b )
.
4. Carefully (it may be hot) remove the heat sink unit ( Figure 7c ).
