11  Shutting down, disposal 

11.1  Shutting down and storage 

This contains information that you must observe if you have to decommission the 
machine for a long time and you want to recommission the machine after this period. 
When shutting down the machines please also observe the maintenance instructions 
(see Section 8 

“Maintenance”).

 

 

The machine is prepared for a long shutdown as follows: 

Step 

Activity 

 

Stopping and turning off the machine 

 

Removing and emptying the liquid container 

 

Washing the entire machine in accordance with Section 8 

“Maintenance” 

 

Removing the battery from the machine 

 

Storing the battery in accordance with the applicable statutory 
requirements 

 

Taking the machine and power adapter to the storage site, as well as 
covering and storing them in an airtight manner 

 

Checking the battery at regular intervals and charging it if necessary 

 
If possible storing the machine in a place that is dry and not too warm. 

11.2  Recommissioning after a shutdown 

Machines that have been turned off, shut down or stored for longer than three months, 
should only be recommissioned after the measures described below are carried out.
