CARRYING THE VACUUM CLEANER
1.
When the vacuum cleaner is in the horizontal position, you can pick it up by using the handle on top of
the unit (picture 6).
2.
When the vacuum cleaner is in the vertical (upright) position, you can use the carry-handle in front of the
dust canister (picture 7) to carry the unit.
CLEANING THE PRE-MOTOR FILTER
Warning:
Always unplug the unit from electrical outlet before removing the dust canister.
1.
Push the power on/off button to “off” and disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.
2.
Remove the flexible hose.
3.
Depress the buttons at the top/front on the revolving arm (pictures 6 and 7) and lift the revolving arm up.
4.
Remove the dust canister from the unit.
5.
Take out the round pre-motor filter from underneath the revolving arm.
6.
Use clean water to clean the filter.
7.
Dry the filter thoroughly and insert the filter back into position (do not place the filter next to fire or high
temperature objects).
8.
Close the revolving arm down until it locks into position and re-attach the vacuum hose.
Please note:
The sponge filter material in the cleaner will became dusty over time. This is normal and will not
affect the performance of the filter. If the sponge filter is so dusty that suction does not return to 100%, then
we suggest that the filter be removed and rinsed under clean water and allowed to dry for 24 hours by airing
before refitting into the vacuum (do not place the filter next to fire or high temperature objects). This should be
done once every six months or when suction appears to be reduced.
Important:
Please note that there is a safety switch inside the vacuum to prevent the unit from overheating. If
the vacuum temperature is too high, the safety switch will be turned on. This will help prevent the motor from
burning out.
Note:
The suction hole of the unit must be open and free of any obstructions at all times. Otherwise, the motor
will overheat and could become damaged.
CLEANING THE OUTLET FILTER
The vacuum cleaner has an outlet filter to ensure the air current out of the unit is clean. It is situated on the
bottom of the unit (underneath the vacuum cleaner). To remove it, simply release the knobs on the outlet
filter grid, then the grid will pop out automatically. To ensure optimal filtering of the exhaust air, you should
occasionally clean the sponge filter by rinsing under clean water and then dry it thoroughly before inserting it
back into place.
1.
Remove the outlet filter grid.
2.
Now remove the sponge outlet filter and clean it by rinsing under clean water. The sponge filter should be
replaced every 6-12 twelve months depending on usage. Never operate the vacuum cleaner without all
filters in their correct place.
3.
Dry the filter thoroughly before inserting it back into place (do not place the filter next to fire or high
temperature objects).
Important:
All filters should be checked regularly for signs of damage, preferably after each cleaning task.
The filters must be replaced immediately if they become damaged. Always disconnect the vacuum from the
electrical outlet when checking the filters.
