1. Introduction
Headtops are tested and approved for use with
Clean-AIR filter-ventilation units in compliance
with European standards EN 12941/A2, EN
12942/A2, EN 14594:2005, as amended. The
list of approved combinations and
classifications to protection classes is in
Chapter 6 – Technical Data.
Filtered air is blown to Headtops from above
(except for masks, in which it is blown from the
face part). The correctly put on headtop tight to
the face ensures, in a combination with the
flow of supplied air, creating a slight
overpressure in the face space, which prevents
dust and other contaminants from entering the
user's respiratory zone.
The most suitable combination of a headtop
with the filter-ventilation unit is determined
according to the type and concentration of
harmful pollutants in the work environment and
according to the work performed. The entire
range of products enables you to choose the
appropriate protection for most industrial
applications.
For hygiene reasons, we recommend using the
TYVEK protective hoods (order no. 70 02 01)
for all below-stated Headtops (except for face
masks). In addition, it protects also against a
possible cold at a low temperature and a
higher air velocity under the headtop. Winter
cap is used for this purpose for hoods CA 1, 2
and 10.
