• Changing HTI 300 lamps
Open the projector, slacken the two side
ring nuts (15) on the lamp to be changed
and remove it from its supports (16).
Take the new lamp out of its package,
slacken the two side ring nuts (15) and fit
it into the supports (16). This done,
tighten the ring nuts.
The unit mounts a high pressure
lamp with external igniter.
Caution: for uniform distribution of the
light beam, the lamp must be positioned
with the protrusion (P) on the bulb outside
the optical axis of the projector. You are
therefore advised to position the lamp
with the protrusion upwards.
• Changing 24V 250W and M38 300W lamps
Remove the projector cover, then remove
the lamp to be changed (17) from its
fitting (18), taking hold of it at the base
and taking it out vertically. Insert the new
lamp in the fitting and check that the feet
are in the correct position.
Caution:
- Carefully read the instructions for
use supplied by the manufacturer of
the lamp.
- Change the lamp immediately if it is
damaged or deformed by heat.
• Changing fuses (V.I.P.)
To change the fuses press the tab (19) and pull out the
fuse box (20). Replace the blown fuses with new fuses of
the type shown on the label affixed to the fuse box (20).
Push the box back in until it engages on the tab (19).
• Routine cleaning
To keep the light output of the projector unchanged, it is essential to carry out routine cleaning
of parts subject to accumulation of dust and grease.
By adhering to the guidelines set out below, the projector will give you long, trouble-free
service life.
To remove dirt from the lenses, use a soft
cloth moistened with any type of liquid
detergent for cleaning glass.
Caution: do not use
solvents or alcohol
Parts requiring frequent
cleaning.
Parts requiring monthly
cleaning.
You are advised to clean the internal components annually, removing the dust with a
paintbrush, while vacuuming it up with an ordinary vacuum cleaner.
6
Caution: before performing any work on the projector switch off the mains electricity supply.
After switching off, wait for at least the time marked on the lamp change label (1) before
removing any part of the unit. Once this time has elapsed, the probability of a lamp exploding is
practically nil. If you need to change the
lamp, wait for a further 15 minutes in
order to avoid burning yourself.
The unit is designed to prevent the
dispersion of splinters if a lamp should
explode. For the same reason, the
objectives must be replaced with original
spare parts if visibly damaged.
• Opening and closing the projector
Slacken the knobs (13) and remove the
lamp change cover (14) from the
projector.
After carrying out maintenance, refit the
cover (14) and tighten the knobs (13).
