11 TEST: This function is only available in ProLogic mode This button activates a

test signal (hiss). This signal is heard alternately in the loudspeakers. After sel-
ecting the signal you can now adjust the individual volume of the surround loud-
speakers and the central loudspeaker using the volume control.

12 CD: Switches on the CD input on the back of the subwoofer. Any connected

sound source can now be played back.

13 DVD: Switches on the DVD input on the back of the subwoofer. Any connected

sound source can now be played back.

14 SR MODE (Surround Modus): With this function you can transform a stereo

signal (e.g. from the CD player) into a surround sound.

15 SR SEL: With this function you can select a variation of the sound playback in

the surround mode.

16 STANDBY button: This switches the machine into standby mode.

Initial Operation

1. Switch on the sound source (e.g. DVD player) and start it.
2. Switch on the subwoofer using the on/off switch on the front of the machine.

The device will now begin to test itself and check the connected loudspeakers.

3. This is shown in the display  „-“
4. Press the STANDBY button on the remote control. The overall volume that has

been set appears in the display and the loudspeaker LEDs light up.

5. Use the 7, 12 and 13 keys on the remote control to select the appropriate

sound source.

6. With the VOLUME/ADJ control (6) on the remote control you can set the overall

volume.

7. By pressing the 2, 3, 4 and 5 keys on the remote control you can select the

individual loudspeakers. The loudspeaker that has been selected is shown by a
flashing LED (1, 4, 7) in the central loudspeaker. Now you can adjust the volu-
me of this loudspeaker with the VOLUME/ADJ control (6).
