headphones are used the speaker is turned off.
You can operate the radio using three different power sources:
• Two R03/AAA batteries
• The built in 2.4 V rechargeable battery (which is charged
by the dynamo)
• Adaptor (not included).
3. Battery operation
Insert 2 x LR03/AAA batteries (not included)
1. Remove the battery cover by pushing it in direction of the arrow
and insert 2 x LR03/AAA batteries (not included). Insert the

period of time (to avoid leaking batteries).
NOTE
: The radio’s dynamo does not charge the R03 batteries.
4. Dynamo operation with the built-in 2.4 V
rechargeable battery
1. The radio has a built-in dynamo which can charge the built-in
battery. The radio then works totally independent of the regular
batteries.
2. Turn the volume control to
OFF
.
3. Fold out the dynamo crank and crank it in either direction (the
amount of charge depends on the time and amount cranked), for
example 2 cranks/sec for 90 sec will charge the radio for 20 min
listening at med. volume (operating time depends on volume used).
4. Select
DYNAMO
with the
DYNAMO
–
BATT
switch.
5. It is also possible to charge the battery while listening to the radio.
6. Fold in the crank.
7. Select a desired radio station and adjust the volume.
5. Use with adaptor (not included)
1. Connect the adaptor to the outlet, it must be 4.5 V DC, 300 mA and
have a + centre pin.
2. The batteries are automatically disconnected when the adaptor is
used while the rechargeable battery is charged even while listening
to the radio.
3. Select a desired radio station and adjust the volume.
6. Torch
The radio has a in-built torch which is controlled by the
TORCH
switch
(ON–OFF).
