1. Safety instructions
Compressed Air Supply
Warning!
To prevent accidents caused by the air tool starting unintentionally,
the user should always disconnect the air supply:
• Before making adjustments and changing tools.
• When servicing the air tool.
• Whenever the air tool is not in use.
• When moving to a new work area.
Warning!
Only use compressed air as the propellant for pneumatically operated tools.
Do not use oxygen or flammable gases as propellants because they might cause an
explosion.
• The compressor must be capable of providing enough pressure and air flow for
the intended application. Read “Specifications” to find out the correct pressure
setting for the tool.
• Industrial pressurized air-line systems should be installed with a gradient,
and the highest point should be closest to the compressor. Easily accessible water
separators should be installed at the lowest points. The water separators should
be emptied at least once a day, more if needed. Dirt and water in the compressed
air lines are the most common causes of wear in pneumatic tools.
• The air tool’s couplings should be equipped with a pressure regulator and water
separator at the point of connection. A filter will help provide the maximum effect
and minimize wear. The pressure regulator must be adjustable from 0 to 6 bar.
• The air-lines should be able to withstand a working pressure of 10.5 bar or
150% of the maximum pressure capable of being delivered by the respective
compressed air system. The feeder line should have a quick-connector so that
it can be disconnected quickly from the nipple on the air tool.
• Make sure that the pressure delivered to the air tool does not exceed
the maximum working pressure (6.2 bar).
