Installation Instructions
Position the relay (1) close to the battery and in such a way that it is protected from
damp and dirt as much as possible. Check that the connections are sufficiently far
away from the chassis and other metal parts and that tools and other loose objects
cannot come in contact with the connections on the relay.
Position the power switch (2) where it can easily be used and is not in the way of
any other controls. Position it on one of the handlebars and check that the handle-
bars can move completely in either direction without being obstructed by the power
switch or the cable.
DO NOT route the cables on top of sharp edges, moving parts, hot parts or where
they can become kinked or damaged. Secure loose cables with plastic ties or elec-
trical tape.
Wiring Instructions
Connect the green and black cable from the power switch (2) to the cable with cor-
responding colours on the relay (1).
Connect the red cable from the power switch (2) to a cable that is controlled by the
ignition. The cable should only be live when the ignition is on.
Connect the plus (+) and the minus (–) terminals on the battery as shown in the
illustration.
It can be difficult to ascertain the polarity of the winch, the only way is to test it.
Connect the winch to the outer connections on the relay and test the winch. Re-
verse the cables if the rotation of the winch does not correspond to the markings
(IN/OUT) on the power switch (2).
