Safety
• The EMI filter should only be connected to an earthed
indoor wall socket.
• Check that all connected devices are rated at the same
mains supply voltage (230 V, 50 Hz).
• Make sure that the electrical socket that the product
is plugged into is easily accessible in case it
and the connected product need to be quickly
disconnected from the mains electricity.
• Do not connect products of this type to each other.
• Do not cover the product.
Product description
• The surge suppression feature is designed to protect
connected devices during e.g. thunder storms.
• Safety shuttered.
• Combined mains EMI/RFI filter and overvoltage protection.
• The filter protects both your plugged in devices from
voltage spikes and mains noise interference as well as
the mains supply circuit from
interference generated by the plugged in devices.
Any overvoltage is quickly suppressed and
prevented from spreading.
Note:
Complete protection from overvoltage
cannot be guaranteed due to the fact there are
so many different types of overvoltage and
interference.
Note:
The surge suppression feature will not
protect against near or direct lightning strikes.
• Equipped with two varistors, a gas discharge tube and
two thermal fuses.
• Two indicator lamps:
- The red (POWER) indicator shows that there is both
power to the surge suppressor’s
outlet and power from the wall outlet. If the (POWER)
light is not lit, this means that there is no power at
the wall socket or coming through the EMI filter.
- The green (PROTECTED) indicator shows that
the surge suppression feature is active.
- If the green (PROTECTED) indicator does not light,
this indicates that the surge suppression feature
is no longer operational. The device will continue
to function as a standard wall outlet but
no
surge
protection will be provided to any connected devices.
Operating instructions
1. First check that the device to be connected to
the EMI filter is turned off.
2. Plug the EMI filter’s plug into a wall socket.
3. Then plug the device into the EMI filter’s socket.
Note!
The EMI filter is protected by an integrated 3.15 A fuse.
This is a non-replaceable fuse. Once blown, no surge
suppression will be available.
