3. Installation
The example below uses Windows XP.
N.B.
It is very important that the graphics card driver’s are updated before
beginning the installation. Install Service pack 3 on Windows if it is not
already installed.
1. Connect the DVI adaptor to a vacant USB 2.0 port.
2. Your computer should detect the DVI
adaptor. “Found New Hardware” will
appear on the screen.
3. After a while, a box will open for the installation of the DisplayLink*
software. Confirm that you wish to install the software by clicking on
I Accept
.
* The software is stored
on the DVI adaptor itself
so there is no accompa-
nying CD-ROM.
4. When the installation starts a dialogue box will appear to inform you that
the screen might flash or become completely black during the installation.
