Safety
Note!
This dimmer switch is only intended for use with 230 V incandescent
and halogen light bulbs.
Installation
The dimmer switch should be fitted on the lead between the light
fitting and the plug. In order to do this, you will need to cut the lead at
the point where you want to fit the dimmer switch.
1. Remove the top by unscrewing the screws in the bottom of
the dimmer and then lifting the top straight up.
2. Connect the wires in the ends of the lead from the light fitting
and plug to the terminals on the dimmer switch as shown in
the picture.
230 V AC, 50 Hz
Light bulb
Note!
If the light’s lead also has an earth wire (yellow/green), this should be
connected to the earth terminal on the dimmer switch.
In accordance with current safety regulations the earth wire must be at
least 8 mm longer than the live and neutral wires.
3. Tighten both of the strain relief clamps, replace the top cover
and screw in the two screws. Make sure that the LED ends up in
the right hole in the top cover and doesn’t get bent over.
Use
Adjust the lighting by pressing gently on the top of the dimmer switch.
If the lamp has its own on/off switch, remember to always have it in
the
ON
position.
Turning the lamp on and off
Press the top of the dimmer switch once quickly to turn the lamp on or
off. The light will come on with the same intensity as when it was last used.
Adjusting the intensity of the lamp
Press and hold the top of the dimmer switch down. Release the top of
the dimmer switch when the desired light has been reached.
