Limitations of Use
Method of Operation
1.
Always check to ensure the pump is in perfect working order:
- has no apparent damage
- the filter is in place and is perfectly clean
- the power cable is in perfect condition
2.
Attach the flexible hose to the outlet, securing with the jubilee clip supplied.
3.
If required, attach the stainless steel tube to the discharge end of the flexible hose,
securing with the jubilee clip supplied.
4.
Carefully lower the pump into the pit or sump etc, to be drained.
IMPORTANT; if the bottom of the pit or sump is muddy or sandy, position the pump on a brick
or similar support. DO NOT allow it to rest in the mud or sand.
5.
Connect the clamps to the 12Volt battery and the pump will operate.
IMPORTANT: ALWAYS connect the red - positive clamp to the red positive terminal of the
battery FIRST, then connect the black clamp to the black - negative terminal, ensuring both
clamps are perfectly secure.
When disconnecting - ALWAYS disconnect the black - negative clamp FIRST.
Always observe the pump discharging. Should performance deteriorate during use, it is
probable that the filter is becoming blocked. In this case, disconnect the pump from the
battery - (black terminal first), then carefully remove the pump from the pit or sump etc.
DO
NOT yank the cable.
Unscrew the base cap and remove the filter. Either clean thoroughly or replace as necessary,
then check the impeller to ensure it is free to rotate and is not blocked.
When satisfied, replace pump in sump or pit and resume pumping.
When finished ALWAYS remove the filter and clean thoroughly, then allow it to dry.
Thoroughly clean the pump with clean water and ensure the impeller is completely free to
rotate and is free of contaminants.
Reassemble the pump and store in a clean dry environment.
