SUGGESTIONS
Chuck falls off
spindle.
1. Dirt, grease or oil on
the tapered surface of
the spindle or chuck.
Clean the tapered surface of
both the chuck and the
spindle with a household
detergent. See "To Install the
Chuck" in ASSEMBLY.
The workpiece
splinters on the
underside.
1. No backing material to
support the underside.
Always use a backing material.
See "Position the Table and
Workpiece" in OPERATION.
The workpiece is
slipping from your
hand.
1. Workpiece needs to be
properly supported or
clamped.
Support the workpiece using
extension wing or clamps. See
"Position the Table and
Workpiece" in OPERATION.
Motor will not run.
1. Defective/broken
switch.
2. Damaged power cable.
3. Open circuit, loose
connections or burned
out motor.
4. Blown fuse or circuit
breaker.
5. Low voltage
Defer to your Clarke dealer for
repair.
Replace fuse or re-set circuit
breaker. Turn off other
machines on the same circuit.
Check the power supply for
correct voltage. Use another
circuit or have a qualified
electrician upgrade the
service.
Motor will not start
