RIVING KNIFE ALIGNMENT

6. Check that the riving knife lines up

with the saw blade. If not
proceed as follows.

7. Remove the blade guard (by

releasing the hinge bolt if tight)
and lifting it clear of the slot in the
riving knife as shown.

• If the hinge bolt is loose, it

should just lift away.

8. Remove the two screws that

secure the table insert and lift it
away.

9. Loosen the screws that hold the

riving knife and adjust the riving
knife position until central.

10. Retighten the screws.

11. Replace the table insert.

12. Replace the saw blade guard.

13. Check to make sure that all

components are properly
mounted and in good working
condition before you begin
working with the saw again.

WARNING: CHECK THE ALIGNMENT OF THE RIVING KNIFE EACH TIME THE
SAW BLADE IS REPLACED.
