1. When you install or replace batteries, pull the
outlet plug of your telephone out of the outlet
and disconnect the Clarity™ Amplifier EHA40
from the telephone .
2. Press the catch of battery cover

upwards and
pull it towards you. Then place the batteries as
indicated in
•

3. Then press battery cover

properly closed.
4. If the batteries are flat, the red light
•
C
will
not illuminate
5. Replace the batteries as soon as possible.
The indicator will only illuminate if the amplifier
is in use.
N.B. You need one 9 volt battery for the Clarity™
Amplifier EHA40. Battery life ranges from two to
six months, depending on the frequency of use
of the amplifier and the type of battery. On
purchase, we recommend alkaline batteries.
Checking the battery charge
You can measure battery capacity in the interim.
With the handset on the base, press boost

. If the indicator illuminates, you have
sufficient battery capacity.
Attention!
The red light

goes out gradually as soon as
you replace the handset on the base. If the light
does not go out, the handset has not been
replaced correctly.
