MAINTENANCE REGULATIONS (for competent persons)
!
WARNING! Follow the general warnings and the safety norms listed at the
beginning of the text and keep to all the instructions given under all circumstances.
The PCB supports a diagnosis function for a few parts which are managed by the
electronic control. When one of the faults described below arises, the green ON/OFF
LED comes on and begins to blink. In this condition, press the FAST key for 5 seconds
All maintenance operations and service visits should be performed by a competent
person (who have the skills required by the applicable norms in force).
Before performing any maintenance operations and/or replacing any components,
disconnect the appliance from the electricity mains using the external switch. If necessary,
empty out the water heater, by turning off the main tap and allowing the water to drain
from the inside through the inlet pipe, after opening the discharge valve and turning
on one hot water tap.
See warning nos. 20 - 26 - 28
The following operations should be performed annually:
-
empty the appliance and dismount the heating element;
-
carefully remove all limescale from the heating element parts; if you prefer not to use
acids designed especially for this purpose, use non-metallic objects to break off the
limescale crust that has formed, taking care not to damage the heating element’s armour.
-
We recommend you replace the seal each time you dismount the heating element.
-
Check the condition of the anode; it wears progressively depending on the quantity of
water distributed and prevents tank corrosion;
-
Replace the anode when its volume is 50% less than its original volume;
To reassemble the 5-bolt flange, the tightening torque should be between 7 and 10 Nm.
You must respect the "criss-cross" type of tightening. To empty the appliance completely,
unscrew the four screws from the cap and remove the latter. Unscrew plug from the
drain pipe (fig. 11). The remaining water will flow out completely.
Only use original spare parts.
Periodic maintenance
!
Depending on the duration of the cheap rate, set switch S1 to 4 or 8h.
Remove the adhesive film from the appropriate wiring diagram and stick it onto
the corresponding space on the cap. Enter the details of the installed load in the
data plate and stick it onto the outside of the cap.
Remove the cap, unscrewing the 4 fastening screws (fig. 5 and 6). On the PCB, find
the jumper situated on the pins beside the indication 85 (factory-set). Switch the
jumper to the desired temperature (40 or 60
°
C).
Reposition the cap, tightening the 4 screws.
Before powering the appliance, fill the tank up with mains water.
The filling is carried out by turning on the domestic mains tap and the hot water tap,
until the air is completely released. Visually check for water leaks from the flange and
slightly tighten it, if necessary.
Power the appliance at the switch.
