5. Remove the parallel interface board supplied as standard from the socket CN2 on the main
printed-circuit board. Then stand to back side of the printer and detach the parallel interface
connector by removing two screws (M3 x 5) and star washers on the parallel interface connector
plate.
6. Replace the screw holding the printer foot under the
WiFi unit. This is changed from an M4 X 12mm to M4X
10mm.
This screw is supplied with the WiFi interface kit. Make
sure that the tip of screw is not protruded over 0.5 mm
(0.002”) from the top edge of the boss on the bottom
case.
7. Identify the connectors on the WiFi module and also the connector locations on the main PCB.

8.
From the inside of the printer
install the WiFi
module to the interface slot where the parallel
interface was previously installed, aligning the
uppermost and lowermost holes of the WiFi fixing
plate (front panel) with the holes of the printer frame.
Then fasten it with two new screws supplied of size
M2.5. These pass through the existing threaded
holes in the printer’s case.
9. Reinstall the serial interface circuit board (from the outside of
the printer) and connect the flat cable to CN21. Note that
the clear plastic cover should be already installed on the WiFi
module to prevent accidentally touching the serial board with
the WiFi board.
11. Lastly return the L-shaped cover and the media guide to their original position and fasten them
with their respective screws.
