Safety Information
Following are safety instructions that you must follow when installing a Cisco uBR924. Failure to
install the unit in accordance with these instructions will invalidate the agency approvals for the
Cisco uBR924 router.
General Safety
•
Do not work on the system or connect and disconnect cables during a lightning storm.
•
Safety requirements are not fulfilled unless the equipment is connected to a wall socket outlet with
protective earth ground.
•
Do not use this unit near liquids.
•
Do not place this unit on an unstable surface.
Subscriber Safety
•
Do not remove covers. No operator serviceable parts are inside. Refer servicing to qualified
personnel.
•
Do not attempt to service or configure the Cisco uBR924 router yourself. Only authorized
personnel should service or configure the unit. If the unit requires service, contact your service
provider.
•
Do not insert any objects into the unit.
Note
In the event of equipment malfunction, contact your service provider. It is the
responsibility of end-users requiring service to report the need for service to their service
provider.

to be directly connected to the telephone network. Standardized jacks are used for these
connections. This equipment should not be used on party lines or coin phones.
