Powering Up the Shelf

Connecting DC-Input Power from the 15540-PWR-AC Power Supply

To apply DC-input power to your Cisco ONS 15540 shelf, follow these steps:

Step 1

Remove the four screws from the terminal block access panel on the back panel
of the chassis. (See

Figure 2-27

.)

Step 2

Remove the insulation of each wire on both ends of the interconnection cables at
a length of about a 1/4 inch (6 mm).

Step 3

Insert the cord through the power supply cable strain relief on the back left side
of the chassis. (See
