Removing the Air Filter
To remove and clean an air filter (

Do not damage the air filter. Damage to the air filter can restrict the airflow and
cause an overtemperature condition in the router.

Step 1
Attach an ESD-preventive strap to your wrist or ankle; and attach the ESD clip to
the chassis or to a bare metal surface.
Step 2
Grasp the small tab on the edge of the air filter and pull the tab to remove the air
filter from the housing.
Tip
If you are unable to lift the tab on the edge of the air filter, use a 3/16-inch
flat-blade screwdriver to lift the tab, then grasp it.
