Introduction
Welcome. This guide provides instructions and recommendations for placing,
installing, configuring, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting the DPC3208
and EPC3208 DOCSIS Cable Modems.
Purpose
This guide covers the following product models:

DPC3208 DOCSIS Cable Modem

EPC3208 DOCSIS Cable Modem
All features described in this guide are standard to these models of cable modems
unless otherwise noted. For the purpose of this guide, whenever a feature or option
applies to only a specific model, the model number is specified. If a model number is
not specified, then the feature or option applies to both of the models.

This guide is written for the home subscriber.
