The Cisco IOS software running your router contains extensive features and functionality. The
effective use of many of many of these features is easier if you have more information at hand. For
additional information on configuring and maintaining the Cisco 7000 series, Cisco 7200 series, and
Cisco 7500 series routers, and PA-5EFL, the following documentation resources are available:

Port Adapter Installation Prerequisites

This section provides software requirements, a list of parts and tools you will need to perform the
port adapter installation, and safety and ESD-prevention guidelines to help you avoid injury and
damage to the equipment during installation. Also included is information on the systems in which
