Software Compatibility

The PRE4 has specific Cisco IOS software requirements.

shows the minimum required Cisco

IOS software for the PRE4.

Use the

show version

command to display the system software version that is currently loaded and

running.

If the output of the

show version

command indicates that the Cisco IOS software is a version earlier than

the version identified as the minimum Cisco IOS software release in

, check the contents of the

CompactFlash memory to determine if the required images are available on your system.

The output of the

show flash

command provides a list of all files stored in the CompactFlash memory.

If the correct software version is not installed, contact Cisco Customer Service (see the

Documentation, Obtaining Support, and Security Guidelines” section on page 68
