Up to 32 end devices can be connected to each communications bus.
Communications between the
LoRa
TM
master and slave devices are completely transparent, allowing
for a simple installation where you only need to check the transmission time between messages and
the timeout time from the application master.
The STM-xxx-Fxxx model is equipped with the LoRa
TM
radio technology for private networks.
STM-xxx-Fxxx
devices can only be used on private networks and cannot be connect-
ed to LoRaWAN networks.
The frequency in Europe for
LoRa
TM
communications is the 868 MHz ISM free band. Up to 9 different
channels can be set up between 865.1 MHz (channel 0) and 869.85 MHz (channel 9). The default fre-
quency is 869.525 (channel 7).
The frequency in Australia and America for LoRa
TM
communications is the 915 MHz ISM free band. Up
to 80 different channels can be set up between 915.2 MHz (channel 100) and 927.5 MHz (channel 207).
The default frequency is 915.9 (channel 164).
The device has 10 transmission and reception modes (
Table 20
), which allows selecting speeds be-
tween 300 bps and 21875 bps. The range of the transmission signal can be sacrificed in favour of
increasing the communication speed.
In order to observe spectrum restrictions, depending on the transmission mode selected in the master,
a period of silence is set during which the device cannot transmit. During this time, the

LED remains on and the device returns "Busy" on the serial channel.
