5.2 Built-in PLC
CICON is a software that programs the PLC CPU embedded in Hybrid Xpanel. You can
download the most up–to-date version on CIMON website (www.cimon.com). Detailed
functions of CICON can be found in the [Help] menu of the software.
5.2.1 Features of CPU Module
PLC CPU embedded in Hybrid Xpanel is designed with 32-bit microprocessor. The basic
instruction processing speed, as a performance parameter, reaches to 200nsec/step.
Also, 2 channels of high-speed (20Kpps) counter is equipped which enables the input of
2 phase 2/4 multiplication. And software PID control is available up to 32 loops.
Through communication interface of RS232C or RS485, it is possible to communicate
with external host system. Also, various communication protocols are available. 10K
steps of program memory is available for scan programs.
Self-diagnosis function verifies the cause of error easily. Details of the error are displayed
on [PLC status] of CICON. In addition, there are advanced control functions as shown in
the following table.

Clock Reads the time from RTC module and stores the value at F device.
I/O reservation
Checks if a correct card was mounted in assigned slot. Reserves to
writing a program without configuring I/O, when expanding or
exchanging is needed.
Modification of program
during Run status
Modifies the program during Run status.
