100S is a high power/high performance power amplifier housed in a compact chassis. Due to the high
power output, the entire machined aluminum chassis is used as a heat-sink.
Although much more efficient than traditional amplifiers, external chassis temperatures can reach 115°
Fahrenheit (46° Celsius).
Amplifier layout is simple and logical with power supply circuitry at the front of the chassis. This allows
very short signal paths with our custom input stage board. Signal enters PCB mounted RCA jacks (no
wires), through the JFET input stage, into the UCD amplifier module. The entire signal path from input
jack to speaker terminals is about 6”.
The input stage board also has user-selectable gain via DIP switches. Selections are 26dB (for use with
active preamplifiers), or 32dB (for use with passive preamplifiers, PC
4, PLC
1, etc.)

The output stages are patented Hypex UcD modules. These modules contain only the output devices
and modulator, and can be easily replaced in event of failure. The patented modulator architecture is
the only class D design producing flat frequency response independent of speaker load.
Power is fed by a 400 watt low-noise switching audio power supply, housed in a heavy steel Faraday
shield. This complex supply outputs both high voltages/high current to the amplifier output stage and
also low voltages for the input stage.
Chassis is heavy machined aluminum with clear anodize/two tone laser engraving and non-magnetic
stainless steel hardware, highest quality gold-plated 5-way binding posts and RCA jacks.
