The Aquitaine collection
The C65 Collection began as an homage to the golden age of dive
watches.
Now it’s reborn as the Gallic-inspired C65 Aquitaine: a radically
redesigned and upgraded retro dive watch – with a curved sapphire
bezel that’s as elegant as it is tough.
Aquitaine is an historic French coastal region home to Bordeaux
and its wines, and – most pertinently – undersea explorer Jacques
Cousteau.
While the Aquitaine’s looks are vintage, its engineering and build
quality are anything but. Water-resistance is up from 150m to
200m. There’s also a new open case back, revealing a self-winding
Sellita movement with a higher degree of finishing than before.
And most noticeable of all, the bezel now has a curved and highly
polished sapphire insert. It catches the light wonderfully and allows
our watchmakers to make more effective use of colour than with
steel or ceramic.
The Aquitaine is such a step up from the first C65, it’s like it’s
jumped four generations in one go. This is a grown-up timepiece
that’s both undeniably retro and absolutely modern. A watch you’ll
treasure for years to come.
